This policy explains how blueportcontainer.com uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy. Our use of cookies is governed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 (PECR) and, where cookies involve personal data, by the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. What cookies are

- Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies stay on your device until they expire or you delete them.
- First-party cookies are set by blueportcontainer.com.
- Third-party cookies are set by another domain, such as an analytics or payment provider.
2. The categories we use
Strictly necessary cookies

- WooCommerce cart and session cookies, which remember what is in your basket and keep your checkout session working.
- WordPress authentication and login cookies, if you have an account with us.
- Security and fraud-prevention cookies, including those used to protect forms against spam.

Functional cookies
These remember choices you make — for example a preferred region or previously entered form details — to improve your experience. Switching them off may make parts of the site less convenient.
Analytics and performance cookies
These would help us understand how visitors use the site: which pages are read, where people arrive from, and where they give up. They are only ever set after you have consented.
Marketing and advertising cookies
These would be used to measure the effectiveness of advertising and, where relevant, to show you our advertising on other websites. They are only ever set after you have consented, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
What is actually in use today
We do not currently run any third-party analytics or advertising tag on this website. The only cookies and storage in use are the strictly necessary ones listed in section 3. The consent controls described in section 4 are in place so that if we do add an analytics or advertising tool, nothing is set before you have agreed to it, and this page is updated at the same time.

Cookie names and durations set by WordPress, WooCommerce and any future third-party provider can change when those tools are updated. If you need an exact, current list for compliance purposes, email us and we will provide one.
4. How we obtain consent
On your first visit you are shown a cookie banner at the foot of the page with two choices: Accept All and Necessary Only. Nothing beyond the strictly necessary items in section 3 is set unless you choose Accept All. Your choice is recorded in your browser’s local storage under the name bpc_cookie_consent, and it also sets the consent signals passed to any Google tag that may be added later.
To change your mind, clear your browser’s site data for blueportcontainer.com; the banner will appear again on your next visit and you can choose differently. You can also email us and we will confirm what is stored against your choice. Choosing Necessary Only will not stop you browsing the site, requesting a quotation or placing an order.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
All major browsers let you view, block and delete cookies and site storage, usually through Settings, then Privacy or Security. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break the basket and checkout. Useful guidance is published by the ICO at ico.org.uk and by your browser vendor.
“Do Not Track” browser signals are not consistently honoured across the web, and we do not currently respond to them. Global Privacy Control signals, where present, are treated as an objection to non-essential cookies.
6. Cookies and personal data
Some cookies process data that can identify you, such as an online identifier or IP address. Where that happens, the processing is described in our Privacy Policy, including the lawful basis, retention periods and your rights, and your right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
7. Changes to this policy
We review this policy whenever we add or remove a tool that sets cookies, and at least annually. The version published on this page is the current one.
