Open Side Container

An open side container replaces one full-length sidewall with doors, so the entire long face of the unit opens up. Instead of loading through a single 8ft-wide opening at the end, you get access along the whole 20ft or 40ft side. For anything that will not travel down the length of a container — wide machinery, palletised goods loaded by forklift from the flank, boat and vehicle parts, market stock displayed in place — full side access is the difference between a container that works and one that does not.
Where full side access pays for itself

Forklift loading straight from a yard or dock without shuttling pallets down a narrow aisle
Storing long or wide items that cannot be turned inside a standard container
Retail, market and event use where the open side becomes the shopfront
Workshops and equipment bays needing natural light and ventilation across the working face
Sites where there is no room to swing end doors but plenty of clearance alongside

The 20ft units are the most flexible. A 20ft one-trip open side container with side doors gives a near-new shell, while the used 20ft full side access container covers the same function at a lower cost. Where you need both length and headroom, the 40ft high cube open side container with four doors divides the opening into sections you can work independently.
