Container Swimming Pools

A container pool is a swimming pool built inside a shipping container shell. The steel carries the structural load that reinforced concrete would otherwise have to, the lining and plant go in before the unit leaves the workshop, and what turns up on site is a finished pool rather than a summer-long building project. It can stand on a prepared base, be sunk partway, or drop fully into an excavation — and unlike a poured pool, it can be lifted back out and taken with you.

Length first, then layout

Builds are based on 20ft, 30ft and 40ft shells, which gives three distinct pools rather than three sizes of one. The 20ft standard build is the one that fits an ordinary rear garden and the easiest of the three to lift into position. The 30ft adds enough water to swim properly without swallowing the whole plot. At 40ft you are into lap length, and the decision shifts to profile: a deep-end design where you want real depth at one end, or a flat classic layout for family use. Standard and premium specifications both run through the 20ft and 30ft sizes.

Colour is not an afterthought

The exterior is finished in a chosen colour rather than left as bare steel, and it does not have to be discreet — the pink 20ft pool and an orange 40ft are stocked builds, not one-off commissions. An above-ground pool is a visible object in a garden, so treat the finish as part of the specification, not an afterthought.

Two things decide whether an installation goes smoothly: a level, load-bearing base finished before the delivery date, and a route the lorry and the lifting equipment can genuinely use. Pools are lifted into place rather than rolled off, so HIAB or crane offload is agreed in writing before delivery. Delivery is free across the UK including Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, with 7–10 days a reasonable estimate and 2–6 weeks for a made-to-order finish.
