Flat Rack Container

A flat rack container is a container base with no sidewalls and no roof — just a reinforced steel deck with end walls or collapsible end frames, built on standard corner castings so it handles like any other ISO unit. It exists for one reason: out-of-gauge cargo. When a load is too wide, too tall or too heavy to go inside a closed box, it gets strapped to a flat rack instead.

Boats, prefabricated building sections and structural steel assemblies
Timber, pipe bundles and reel goods that overhang a standard container width
Heavy point loads that would exceed the floor rating of a conventional dry van

Deck length is the main choice. Our 20ft used flat rack containers suit compact heavy items where the weight, not the footprint, is the constraint. For longer machinery and structures, a 40ft used flat rack doubles the deck. If the load will be photographed, shipped for a client, or resold, the 20ft one-trip flat rack in like-new condition presents better and has unworn lashing hardware.
