Description
A 40ft × 8ft flat rack, available new or used to cargo worthy grade. With no side walls and no roof, loading is unrestricted from above and from both flanks — which is why these are the standard answer for heavy machinery, vehicles, construction materials and bulky industrial goods that cannot be broken down to fit inside an enclosed container. Offering both grades on one listing is deliberate: the frame geometry is identical, so the choice is purely about what the rack will do next.

Choosing between the two grades
A new rack makes sense where the unit stays in shipping service and its condition will be inspected, or where it will carry high-value plant and you want unmarked decking under the load. A used cargo worthy rack does exactly the same structural job — same payload, same castings, same lifting points — for yard duty, site platforms, bridge decks and equipment skids. Cosmetically the used frames show their working life in paint wear and surface rust; what cargo worthy certifies is that the structure is sound. Getting the specification right first time
Three questions decide which rack you need, and all three are easier to answer before you order than after. How heavy is the load, and is the weight concentrated or spread? How long is it, and will it overhang the deck? And how will it be lifted on and off — crane from above, or forklift from the flank? Tell us those and we can match a rack to the job rather than to the length alone.
Delivery, siting and cover
Free delivery applies across the UK, taking in Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, and the price shown is the total payable because no VAT is added at checkout. A 40ft rack is long, low and completely open, so it needs a straight run for the delivery vehicle and firm, level bearing along both rails — with no walls to stiffen it, the frame relies on the ground under it staying flat. Crane or HIAB offload is agreed in writing before delivery. Cover follows the grade you buy: new racks carry 12 months against structural defects, and used cargo worthy racks are covered for 3 months as structurally sound. Separately, you keep 14 days to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and 30 days to reject the goods if they are faulty under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
