Three questions settle the choice

Does the machinery need to run? A working unit holds its setpoint and is priced for it, while a non-working 40ft high cube reefer is bought as an insulated wind and watertight shell, nothing more. What power reaches the standing position? These are three-phase machines — the blast freezer listing quotes 460V/230V three-phase — so check the supply where the unit will actually sit. Chilled or frozen? Holding produce a few degrees above zero asks far less of a compressor than pulling a load down to -40°C, which is what the blast units exist for.

Machinery in stock is Carrier, Thermo King, Daikin and Maersk. Lengths are 3.0m (10ft), 6.1m (20ft), 9.1m (30ft) and 12.2m (40ft), and almost every 40ft is high cube at 2.9m (9ft 6in) — worth measuring the gateway for. Year of manufacture is stated where we have it, from a 2012 Carrier Primeline 40ft high cube to one-trip 2023 Thermo King machinery, with refurbished units in between. Where space is short, a 10ft freezer reefer gives a walk-in freezer room on a footprint a van bay can take.

Reefers are heavy and tall, so we confirm access first, and crane or HIAB offload is agreed in writing before delivery.
