Specialised Containers

Most container enquiries open with a size. These do not. Everything gathered here is bought for what it does — a room to work in, a shelter over the yard, a store that keeps compressed gas away from everything else. Purpose-built containers turn up welded, wired and finished for one job, so specification matters far more than length.

Five things this category gets used for

Somewhere to work — site offices, open-plan and refurbished office builds, workshops in 10ft, 20ft and 40ft, a confined space training unit
Welfare — ablution blocks, change rooms, lunchrooms, drying and meeting room cabins, mains toilet and shower units
Trading — bar, kiosk, café, kitchen and concession builds, trade show displays, an ice vending unit
Controlled storage — gas cylinder stores, explosive magazines, switch rooms, a seven-bay multi-store
Cover and accesscontainer shelters roofing the ground between two boxes, smoking shelters, turnstile units

Services and siting decide the build. Anything with people inside needs power, usually water and drainage too: an 8ft × 5ft mains toilet and shower is a different groundworks job from a switch room wanting only a cable run. Anything trading has to look right from outside as well as work inside, so cladding colour, glazing and serving hatch position get settled before fabrication starts. Where we build to your drawing, workmanship is covered for 12 months.

Footprints run from a 1.5m × 2.4m (5ft × 8ft) smoking shelter to 12.2m (40ft) office and retail builds, with 9.8m (32ft) jackleg cabins between. Not all of it is new: refurbished modular buildings and clean used office containers do the same work for less. Fit-out sits in cabin accessories.

Tell us the application and the site first — send the details through and we will come back with a build that fits. Delivery is free UK-wide including Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, and no VAT is added at checkout. Stock units run to the usual 7 to 10 day estimate; made-to-order builds are more realistically 2 to 6 weeks, and crane or HIAB offload is agreed in writing before delivery.
