Description

A 20ft outdoor bar converted in-house from a one-trip shipping container, originally built for a holiday park in Somerset. A serving hatch and bar counter sit behind lockable roller shutters, with interior lighting and power access, all in a shell that stands outdoors year-round without deteriorating. Because it started as a one-trip container rather than a used shell, the steel and the paint underneath the conversion are effectively new, which matters on a unit that will be looked at closely by paying customers.

Dimensions

  • External: 6.058 × 2.438 × 2.591 m (19 ft 10 in × 8 ft 0 in × 8 ft 6 in)
  • Internal: approximately 5.9 × 2.35 × 2.39 m (19 ft 4 in × 7 ft 9 in × 7 ft 10 in)
  • Base shell: 20ft standard one-trip container

Why the serving run is the reason to go to 20ft

A 10ft bar serves a queue. A 20ft bar serves two, because the counter is long enough for two staff to work without reaching across each other and long enough for customers to spread along it rather than forming one line. At a holiday park, a beer garden or a festival, that is the difference between a bar that copes with the interval and one that becomes the bottleneck. The extra length also leaves genuine back-bar space behind the serving position for stock and glassware, instead of everything living under the counter.

Built for outdoor trading

  • Serving hatch and bar counter. A proper working counter at pouring height for fast service.
  • Lockable roller shutters. The unit closes down flat and secure overnight without stripping anything out.
  • Interior lighting and power access. Ready to trade in the evening, not only in daylight.
  • Weather-resistant steel construction. It stays outside between seasons rather than needing to be stored under cover.

Finishes to specify

Paint colour, signage, shelving and sinks are all available on request. Sinks are worth settling early: if you intend to serve into glassware, your local authority environmental health team will usually expect washing provision on site, and plumbing that in at build is far tidier than adding it later.

Delivery, siting and cover

Delivery is free UK-wide, including Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, and the price shown is the total payable — no VAT is added at checkout. Position it so the shutters open into your customer area with room for a queue clear of vehicle movements, and make sure the standing is firm and level at all four corners so the roller shutters run true. A 20ft delivery needs a proper approach and turning space, so check gateways and overhead clearance at a holiday park or event site before the delivery date. Crane or HIAB offload is agreed in writing before delivery. As a one-trip shell with our own conversion work, it carries 12 months of cover on structural defects, water ingress and workmanship. Separately, you have 14 days to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and a 30-day right to reject the goods if faulty under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Related builds and next steps

Working with a smaller pitch? Half the length, much the same serving layout: that is the 10ft bar container. Courtyards and rooftop venues, where every metre of footprint counts, are better served by our stylish 10ft pop-up bar conversion. Food on the menu as well as drinks? Put this side by side with the fully converted 20ft kiosk. Every hospitality and workspace conversion we build sits under modified containers, and you can request a tailored quote listing your preferred paint colour, signage and internal fit-out.
