Site Cabin Accessories

A jackleg cabin turns up as a clean, empty, insulated shell. The fourteen site cabin accessories here are what make it somewhere people can sit down and get on with the day, and ordering them alongside the unit means the cabin opens for business the day it lands.

The whole list, grouped by job

Getting in — a steel staircase with landing and handrails, since a jackleg cabin stands clear of the ground
Desk and paperwork — a 1500mm single pedestal desk, a manager chair, a 1200mm wooden bookcase, a four-drawer metal filing cabinet
Meetings — a 1500mm table for a small room, and a longer conference table for a full site meeting
Joining two cabins — a covered cabin linkway, and a flat pack office linking kit spanning 2.3m, 3.3m, 4.3m or 6.5m
Welfare and safety — a microwave, a battery-operated smoke alarm, a towable water bowser, a small three-step skin protection centre
Windows — vertical blinds cut for jackleg cabin openings

Two are worth deciding before the cabin arrives. The staircase is one: a cabin up on its legs is not usable without safe access. The linking kit is the other — two cabins side by side are two separate rooms, but linked they read as one continuous space with no step outside between them. The span has to match the gap the cabins leave, so measure before choosing between the 2.3m kit and the 6.5m one.
