Description
A lockable four-drawer steel filing cabinet built for a working site office rather than a quiet one. The two features that separate it from ordinary office furniture are the anti-tilt mechanism and full-extension drawers on metal runners — both of which exist because a cabin gets knocked, vibrates when plant moves past and occasionally gets craned with the furniture still in it.

Why anti-tilt matters in a cabin
A four-drawer cabinet with two loaded drawers open will go over. In a fixed office that is a hazard; in a 2.85 m wide cabin with someone sitting at a desk a metre away it is a serious one, and the floor is a suspended deck rather than a concrete slab. The anti-tilt mechanism allows only one drawer at a time, which removes the failure mode entirely rather than relying on people being careful.
Typical contents
- Drawings, RAMS and method statements
- Delivery notes, plant and equipment paperwork and permits
- Induction records, training certificates and timesheets
- Site keys and small valuables behind the lock
Before you order
When you plan the layout, count the 622 mm depth and the drawer travel that sits in front of it — inside a narrow cabin, that margin decides whether a drawer opens all the way or catches on a desk. Height is 1320 mm, which clears the window sills in most cabins. Two keys come with it; the sensible place for the spare is off site.
Delivery
Free delivery applies anywhere we deliver in the UK, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey included, and the price shown is the total payable with no VAT added at checkout. It arrives assembled and is heavy for its size, so it is a two-person lift into a cabin up steps — worth having someone available on the day rather than discovering it alone. You have 14 days to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and a separate 30-day right to reject the goods if faulty under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
