Description
A 1500 mm site office desk with the pedestal built in, so a single run gives you a full working surface plus lockable drawer storage in one footprint. In a cabin where floor space is the binding constraint, that combination is the whole point — a separate desk and a separate pedestal take up noticeably more of a 2.85 m wide unit.
Dimensions and specification
- Width: 1500 mm (4 ft 11 in)
- Depth: 750 mm (2 ft 6 in)
- Height: 727 mm (2 ft 5 in) — matches standard task and manager seating
- Integrated pedestal with lockable drawers, 2 keys supplied per lock
- Metal drawer runners
- Strengthening bars across the legs
Why the metalwork is specified
Two details separate this desk from domestic flat-pack furniture — drawer runners in metal, and strengthening bars braced across the legs. Both exist for one reason: site offices get moved. A cabin is craned onto a lorry with the furniture in it, driven to the next compound and craned off again. Plastic runners and an unbraced frame do not survive that, and a desk that racks out of square never quite closes properly afterwards.
Where it goes
- Shared desks, where every user wants a drawer only they can open
- Engineer and site manager positions inside a jackleg or steel cabin
- Keys, permits and personal effects that need locking away through the working day
- Container conversions used as offices, where the desk stays put
Worth checking first
Which side is the pedestal on? Match it to your cabin layout so the drawers do not swing into a doorway or foul a wall. At 750 mm deep the desk takes a monitor and paperwork side by side. Two keys come with each lock — keep the spares together and off site.
Delivery
We deliver free to every UK address we serve, taking in Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, and the price shown is the total payable with no VAT added at checkout. It is normally ordered as part of a cabin fit-out, and putting the furniture on the same order as the cabin means the office is usable from the day the unit is levelled rather than a week later. Your 14-day right to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 applies, as does the separate 30-day right to reject faulty goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Completing the workstation
Fitting out an office in one of our site cabins — a 40ft x 10ft jackleg office cabin, say — usually begins right here. Add a 4 drawer filing cabinet for the paperwork and a manager chair to sit at it, and the position is complete; the rest of the range is under cabin accessories.
