What happens next

We check stock. We look at what is available at the depots nearest your postcode, so your container reaches you as quickly as possible.
We plan the delivery. Delivery is free wherever you are in the UK. Using the access details you give us, we choose between a tilt-bed (side-loader) lorry, a HIAB crane lorry or a flatbed with your own lifting arrangements.
You receive a written quotation by email, normally within one working day, valid for the period stated on it. Container and haulage markets move, so quotations are time-limited.

What affects the price

Condition grade. A New/One-Trip unit costs considerably more than an As-Is box. Our Condition Guide explains the differences.
Size and type. Standard 20ft and 40ft units are the most competitively priced; high cubes, side-openers and refrigerated units carry a premium.
Delivery. Nothing. Delivery is free to any UK address, however far the container has to travel.
Offloading method. A tilt-bed delivery is the standard option. A HIAB crane lorry places the container precisely and works where a tilt-bed cannot; tell us about the site and we will agree the right vehicle with you.
Quantity. Multiple containers to one address can attract a better per-unit price.
Modifications. Extra vents, lock boxes, shelving, repaints, personnel doors and windows are priced individually.

Prices

Everything is quoted in pounds sterling, and the figure on your quotation is the total payable — delivery anywhere in the UK is included free and no VAT is added at checkout, so the amount we quote is the amount you pay. Before you request a quote

Three things are worth checking first, and they are covered in detail in our Buyer’s Guide:

Access. A 20ft delivery lorry needs roughly 20 metres of straight, firm approach and about 4.5 metres of width; a 40ft delivery needs considerably more. Check for overhead cables, low branches, gate widths and soft ground.
Ground. Containers should sit on a firm, level base — hardcore, concrete or railway sleepers under the four corner castings. Soft ground can twist the frame and stop the doors closing.
Permissions. Most containers used as temporary storage do not need planning permission, but there are exceptions — listed buildings, conservation areas, Green Belt and permanent installations. See the planning section of the Buyer’s Guide.
