Description
A close-coupled linkway for joining ECOlink cabins, and for any other steel cabin ordered with the doorway linking system, in arrangements that can reach three storeys. This is the fitting that turns two separate cabins into a single connected block, so people move between the office, the canteen and the welfare unit through the link rather than stepping outside and round.
What the linkway does
- Close-couples two adjacent steel cabins at the doorway
- Keeps the gap between the linked units to a minimum
- Suitable for stacked cabin arrangements up to three storeys
- Works with ECOlink cabins and any steel cabin specified with the doorway linking system
- Wider links are available as a special — ask us for details
Check the doorway linking system first
This is the one thing to establish before you finalise a compound layout: the linkway only works if the cabins were ordered with the doorway linking system, or already carry it. It is not something that can be added to an arbitrary cabin on site. If you are buying the cabins and the linkway together, tell us at order stage; if you are linking to units already on the compound, check them before ordering the kit.
Planning the layout
Position the linked units on level ground so the two doorway thresholds match — a step between cabins defeats the point of linking them, and on a welfare route it is a trip hazard as well. Think about the direction of foot traffic too, so the link lands where people actually need to walk rather than where the cabins happened to be craned. If the standard close-coupled opening is narrower than you need, ask about the special wider sizes before ordering.
Delivery and cover
Delivery is free anywhere we deliver in the UK, taking in Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, and the price shown is the total payable with no VAT added at checkout. It is normally ordered alongside the cabins it will join, and it is worth putting them on the same delivery so the link is available when the units are set down and levelled, rather than a week later. As a fabricated steel item it carries 12 months on workmanship in line with our warranty policy, and separately you have 14 days to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and 30 days to reject the goods if they are faulty.
