4+1 Steel Toilet Cabin 20Ft x 9Ft

Length is the point of this block: at 6.25 m (20 ft 6 in) it frees ground on a compound that has already committed space to storage, parking and offices, and a second entrance door stops a queue forming when the crew comes off site together. Mark where the water comes in and the waste goes out before it lands.

Description

A 20ft x 9ft mains welfare cabin fitted with four WC cubicles and a urinal position. Length is the point of it: on a compound that has already committed its ground to storage, parking and offices, a shorter block is often what allows the rest of the layout to stand. The pair of entrance doors follows the same practical logic — when a crew comes off site all at once, one door becomes a bottleneck and two do not.

Dimensions

  • External 6.25 × 2.70 × 2.70 m (20 ft 6 in × 8 ft 10 in × 8 ft 10 in)
  • Internal width 2.445 m (8 ft 0 in); internal height 2.30 m (7 ft 7 in)
  • Door opening 0.80 × 1.99 m (2 ft 8 in × 6 ft 6 in)
  • 18 mm particle board floor
  • No windows

Internal length is deliberately absent: the figure in our supplier data cannot be reconciled with the external length, and we would rather publish nothing than a number we know is wrong. Ask before you plan a compound layout and we will tape a unit for you.

Built to be left alone on an empty site

Toilet blocks are the units most often targeted when a compound stands empty, and the security specification follows from that. Steel anti-vandal construction, both entrance doors deadlocked, and no windows at all — ventilation is handled by extractor fans instead. There is nothing to break in through and nothing on the outside worth attacking, which is what keeps a block serviceable on an open or unmanned site.

Specification

  • Sanitary ware fitted throughout: WCs, basins, urinals, water heaters
  • Four cubicles, plus a urinal position
  • Anti-vandal steelwork, with deadlocks on both entrance doors
  • Ventilation by extractor fan — the shell is windowless
  • Walls and ceiling insulated; strip lighting and tubular heaters wired in
  • Vinyl floor sealed throughout, wall boards finished for wiping down
  • Sits on its corner posts, so jacklegs are not needed
  • Mains supply: a water feed and a foul connection, or a tank underneath to take the waste
  • Twelve months’ cover as supplied new

Getting the site ready

Two things are worth settling while the order is still open. First, where the water comes in and where the waste goes out — mark both, because a block that lands before its connections do is furniture. Second, the standing: level, and firm enough to carry the unit loaded rather than empty. With no sewer to connect into, the tank sits below the cabin, sized to your headcount so that emptying lands on a schedule rather than arriving as a crisis.

Delivery, offload and cover

Delivery is free anywhere in the UK, taking in Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, and no VAT is added at checkout — the price shown is the total payable. Unlike our flat pack range this cabin arrives as a complete fitted unit, so it has to be lifted into position: crane or HIAB offload is agreed in writing before delivery, and we will need to know the approach, the standing position and any overhead obstructions. The unit is covered for 12 months as supplied new. Separately, you have 14 days to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and a 30-day right to reject the goods if faulty under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Matching the block to your headcount

Numbers decide the size. One cubicle more and you are into the 5+1 steel toilet cabin; for a crew larger again, we build the 6+1 version. A handful of people on a short job is usually covered by the 1+1 double mains toilet. Sites with no drainage to connect into will also want a waste tank. The rest of the welfare cabin range is listed under cabins.
