Our longest single jackleg office. The step up from the shorter cabins is not just floor area but the glazing: this unit comes with uPVC double glazing as standard rather than aluminium, which makes a real difference to heat retention and to noise in a cabin that runs through winter or sits close to working plant.

Five lights and three timed panel heaters cover the extra length, so the far end of the cabin is as usable as the door end — a common failing when a shorter unit’s fit-out is simply stretched. Walls, ceiling and floor are insulated throughout, over sealed vinyl flooring and wipe-clean plasterboard.

At 48 ft it will normally serve as a principal contractor’s office, or carry combined office and meeting space without linking two cabins together. The plastisol skin over 9 mm plywood keeps external maintenance to a wash-down, which pays back over a long-term compound.
