Description

A 30ft used shipping container converted into a fully finished site office and supplied ready to connect. The shell is a used unit rather than a one-trip container, and the conversion is what you are buying: melamine lined and insulated throughout, vinyl floor, three anti-vandal windows, a secure personnel door, and a complete electrical fit-out with an external hook-up point. At 30ft it takes several desks plus storage without splitting a team across two units.

Be clear that the shell is used

This unit is built on a used container, and it is worth understanding what that does and does not mean. It means the outside will show the working life it has had — the RAL grey repaint covers a shell that has been at sea, and dents, previous repairs and paint that is not uniform under close inspection are characteristics of the grade rather than faults. It does not affect the office inside: the lining, insulation, floor and electrics are all new work carried out for this build. If you want a shell that looks new as well as an office that works, a one-trip conversion is the alternative and it costs more.

Where it fits

A 30ft container office of this specification is bought for main site offices on a medium project, long-term remote workspace, a permanent office in a yard or on a farm, and any use where the office needs to be relocated intact later. Because it is lined, insulated and wired before it leaves us, it only needs a supply connecting on arrival — the external hook-up means that connection can be made without opening the unit up.

Delivery, siting and cover

Delivery is free anywhere in the UK we deliver, taking in Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, and no VAT is added at checkout, so the price shown is the total payable. A 30ft container is a long, heavy single item: a tilt-bed lorry needs a straight, firm run of roughly 25 m to slide it off, and where a compound cannot offer that, HIAB or crane offload is agreed in writing before delivery. Set it down level on load-bearing pads at the corners — no slab is needed, but soft or sloping ground will eventually rack the door frame. On cover, be precise about what applies: the shell is used and carries no new-unit warranty, but the conversion work is covered for 12 months on workmanship in line with our warranty policy. Your statutory rights are separate and unaffected — 14 days to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and 30 days to reject the goods if they are faulty under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
