10ft Shipping Container Concession Stand

Description

A 10ft steel container converted into a concession stand with three separate openings, each doing a different job: customers are served through a flip-up window, staff come and go through a sliding glass storefront door, and at the rear the original cargo doors stay fully working for equipment and restocking. It ships as a wired shell rather than a finished kitchen — lighting, sockets and an exterior panel box are in place, and the interior is left empty for you to fit out to your menu.

Three openings, three jobs

The layout is what makes this practical rather than merely good-looking. The flip-up service window is the customer face and gives a sheltered counter for orders and collection. Staff come in through the sliding glass door, which is also what makes the frontage read as a shop instead of a converted box. At the back, the cargo doors are kept in full working order, and that is the route in for equipment during fit-out and for bulk stock afterwards, instead of everything being passed across the counter. Weld those doors shut, as some conversions do, and you save a modest sum in exchange for making every delivery awkward for as long as you own the unit.

Why it ships as a blank canvas

No tables or catering equipment are included, and that is deliberate. Food service equipment is dictated by your menu and by what your local authority environmental health team requires when they register the premises — a coffee operation, a hot food window and a ticket booth need completely different interiors, and a pre-installed fit-out that does not match your registration is worth less than an empty shell. What comes as standard is the structure itself, the three openings, interior lighting, sockets and an exterior panel box — power connects quickly, and the build-out starts from there.

Points to confirm before you trade

• Leave swing room behind the unit so the cargo doors still open when stock arrives.
• Ask your local authority what it expects on sinks, hand-washing and water supply, and settle that before you fix the internal layout.
• Position equipment so that staff working at it are facing the service window and the customer.
• Check what power is actually available at each pitch you plan to trade from, then match the panel box connection to it.

Delivery, siting and cover

Delivery is free across the UK, including Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, and the price shown is the total payable with no VAT added at checkout. Set the unit so the service window faces your queue and the rear cargo doors still have room to swing — that second point is the one most often forgotten, and it is difficult to correct once the stand is placed and connected. The standing must be firm and level at four corners. Crane or HIAB offload is agreed in writing before delivery. Conversion workmanship carries 12 months of cover, and separately you have 14 days to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and a 30-day right to reject faulty goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
