Description
A brand-new 20ft open-plan office container: reinforced steel doors, a secure locking system, and an interior left entirely clear. Nothing is partitioned and nothing is pre-committed, so the space can be laid out around your desks, power and data rather than around somebody else’s assumption of how an office works. The frame is stackable, which is what makes it a starting point for a multi-level or side-by-side arrangement rather than a one-off unit.
Dimensions
- External: 6.058 × 2.438 × 2.591 m (19 ft 10 in × 8 ft 0 in × 8 ft 6 in)
- Internal: approximately 5.9 × 2.35 × 2.39 m (19 ft 4 in × 7 ft 9 in × 7 ft 10 in)
- Internal floor area: approximately 13.8 m² (149 sq ft)
- Finish: white
Why a clear interior is the specification, not an omission
A partitioned office is only efficient if the partitions happen to fall where you need them. In a 5.9 m run they rarely do, and moving a stud wall in a lined container is a genuinely awkward job. Buying the shell open means the first fit-out is the right one: desks along one wall and a meeting end, or two facing runs, or a drawing table that needs the full length. It also means the unit can be reconfigured later for a different project instead of being demolished internally.
Building outwards and upwards
- Stackable frame. Corner castings take the load, so units can be stacked or set side by side as headcount grows.
- Reinforced steel doors with a secure locking system. The unit is left on site overnight holding laptops and drawings, and it is built for that.
- Clear internal shell. Ready for desks, power and data runs to be installed to your layout.
- New unit. Uniform finish across multiple containers, which matters when several sit together in view of clients.
Who this suits
Construction and civils projects needing a site presence that scales through the phases, businesses adding workspace without extending a building, and operations running a modular campus of several units. If you need welfare, partitioned rooms or a lockable store built in, a bespoke build is the better route than fitting out this shell.
Delivery, siting and cover
Delivery is free anywhere in the UK, including Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, and the price shown is the total payable with no VAT added at checkout. Plan a firm, level standing bearing at all four corners — critical here, because a unit that is going to be stacked must sit true before anything goes on top of it. Check the approach, turning space and overhead clearance for a 20ft load, and if you are stacking, agree the lifting arrangement with us first: crane or HIAB offload is agreed in writing before delivery. As a new unit it carries 12 months of cover against structural defects and water ingress. Separately, you have 14 days to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and a 30-day right to reject the goods if they are faulty under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Worth comparing first
On a tighter budget the clean 20ft used office container gives you the same footprint with insulation and electrics already fitted. Crews that move from job to job are usually better served by the 20ft mobile office cabin. Where the team is bigger and separate rooms are wanted, start from our container site office builds. Workshops, kiosks and storage conversions all live in the modified container range, and the desks, chairs and filing cabinets that furnish any of them are under cabin accessories.
