Description

A 2023-build 40ft high cube Thermo King refrigerated container, sold as a one-trip unit: manufactured, loaded once and shipped, and now offered effectively as new. With refrigerated containers the machine matters more than the box, and this is the end of the market where that works in your favour. A 2023 unit still has its whole service life in front of it, its controller belongs to the current generation, and nothing has yet knocked the insulation about or let moisture into it — the two things that quietly drain efficiency out of an older reefer.

Why a one-trip reefer is worth the premium

The case is not really about the paint. It is about what a refrigeration pack costs to keep running as it ages. On a near-new machine you get shorter run times to hold the same set point, lower electricity consumption across a year, and materially fewer callouts, because nothing is yet near the end of its service interval. On a fifteen-year-old unit the purchase price is lower and the running cost is not, and one compressor failure closes the gap entirely. If the reefer is going into continuous commercial duty rather than seasonal use, that arithmetic usually favours buying new once.

Delivery and cover

Delivery is free anywhere in the UK, including Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, and the price shown is the total payable with no VAT added at checkout. This is a full-length high cube, so plan for an articulated tilt-bed: a straight approach, room to reverse and firm, level standing where it lands. The one delivery consideration specific to a near-new unit is protecting what you have paid for — a clean, level pad and a considered final position mean the paint and the door gear are not damaged in the first week. Where the site needs a crane or HIAB offload instead, that is agreed in writing before delivery. As a one-trip unit it carries our 12-month cover against structural defects and water ingress. Alongside that, and separate from each other, you have 14 days to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and 30 days to reject the goods if they are faulty under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
