30Ft X 8Ft Shipping Container One Trip – Cut Down

In Stock

£6,030.75

A new one-trip container cut down to 30ft, its rear end rebuilt with fabricated panels and corner posts, the original double doors kept, a lockbox fitted and the whole unit resprayed inside and out. Built for sites that cannot take a full 40ft box. Cutting voids the CSC plate, so it is a static store only.

Description

There is a gap between what a site can take and what the job needs, and 30ft is often where it falls: no room to swing a 40ft in, not enough floor in a 20ft. Two shorter boxes close it on paper, but the bill is a redundant pair of doors, a wall through the middle of your floor, and a second thing to lock every night. This is a single shell cut back to 30ft with a fresh end built on — fabricated rear panels and corner posts — so what turns up handles like a 30ft made that way from the start.

Specifications

  • External: 9.12 × 2.44 × 2.59 m (29 ft 11 in × 8 ft 0 in × 8 ft 6 in)
  • Internal: 9.00 × 2.35 × 2.39 m (29 ft 6 in × 7 ft 9 in × 7 ft 10 in)
  • Door opening: 2.34 × 2.28 m (7 ft 8 in × 7 ft 6 in)
  • Weight empty: 3,190 kg (7,033 lb)
  • Floor: 28 mm (1.1 in) marine plywood

How it is built

  • The donor is a new one-trip container, never an ex-service shell
  • Cut to your exact length where 30ft is not the figure you want
  • New end: fabricated rear panels and corner posts
  • Original double doors retained, with a lockbox fitted
  • Steel throughout
  • Prepared and resprayed, interior and exterior
  • Finished in green

Important: this unit cannot be used for shipping

Cutting the shell voids its CSC plate. That is not a technicality — it is a permanent change of what the container is. This is a static storage unit and it cannot legally re-enter the freight system, be shipped as cargo, or be sold on as a shipping container. If the box might ever move loaded by sea or rail, this is the wrong purchase; buy a full-length CSC-plated container instead.

Why the one-trip donor matters

What separates this from our used cut-downs is where the shell began. Starting from a one-trip container means unpitted steel and effectively new paint underneath the preparation and respray. Where the box is going to be seen — in front of a house, on a forecourt, next to a customer entrance — that finish is what you are paying the difference for; tucked behind a compound fence it matters far less. There is a structural argument too: welding fabricated panels and corner posts into sound plate is cleaner than welding into steel already patched once.

Delivery, siting and cover

Delivery is free across the UK, including Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, and the price shown is the total payable — no VAT is added at checkout. A 30ft shell is closer to a 40ft than a 20ft in handling terms: it needs a genuinely straight approach and firm, level ground for a tilt-bed or roll-off delivery, and there is little scope to reposition it once down. Made to order rather than pulled from stock, so expect the specialist lead-time band of roughly 2 to 6 weeks. Where a crane offload is the only way onto the pitch, that is agreed in writing before delivery. Send us your postcode and site details and we will confirm first.

The one-trip shell carries 12 months against structural defects and water ingress, and the cutting, fabrication and respray carry 12 months on workmanship. Separately, you have 14 days to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and a 30-day right to reject faulty goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Alternatives at this length

A far shorter cut-down container, at a lower price, is the used 10ft cut down container. Where cost outweighs appearance at 30ft, the 30ft x 8ft used shipping container gives you the same length in used grade. Similar units sit under storage containers.
