Description
Used 10ft Cut-Down Container
A cut-down container is exactly what it sounds like: a full-length ISO box shortened to a working size and re-ended. Typically a 40ft shell yields four 10ft units, and because the raw material is an ex-shipping-line container the cost per unit is well below a purpose-built 10ft box.
The rear end is fabricated new — corner posts and panels welded up and finished — and the whole unit is prepared and resprayed inside and out before it leaves us, so it arrives looking considerably better than the donor container did. Original double doors and a fitted lockbox carry over from the shipping end.
One thing to be clear about: a cut-down container cannot be used for shipping. Cutting the shell voids the CSC plate, so this is a static storage unit only. If you need a short container that still carries certification for freight, the 10ft one-trip is the unit to buy instead. We can also cut to lengths other than 10ft — tell us the dimension you need.

WHERE A 10FT CUT DOWN CONTAINER MAKES SENSE
A cut down box suits sites where a full-length container will not fit or is not needed: narrow yards, allotments, school grounds, tight residential driveways and rooftop or courtyard compounds. Because the unit is short and comparatively light, it is far easier to place and to move again later than a 20ft or 40ft box.
Looking at other short units? The 10ft cut down used container is the closest alternative, while the 10ft one-trip shipping container is a factory-fresh option if appearance matters. Need something in between? The 30ft cut down one-trip container is built the same way at a longer length.
