How The Sump Base Works
The floor is a raised open steel grid sitting above a sealed sump, so anything that leaks from a drum drains straight through and is contained instead of spreading across the site. Nothing stands in the spill, which keeps the drums themselves out of contact with leaked product. Check the sump at the same interval as your other environmental inspections and clear it before it approaches capacity.
Insulation And Siting
The insulated panels moderate the temperature swing inside the unit, which matters for products with a storage temperature range printed on the label. Site the store on firm level ground, away from drains and watercourses, with enough clear space in front for the double doors to swing fully open for drum handling.
