Description

The smallest bunded store we build: an 8ft shell converted from a new one-trip container, with a 3 mm Durbar plate floor welded in and turned up to form a 300 mm bund. It is offered with either a raised floor or a flat floor, chosen at order. At 984 kg empty it is the only store in the range light enough to be moved by most yard plant rather than a lorry-mounted crane, which is why it tends to end up where containment is needed but access is poor — a rooftop plant area, a walled compound, a farm yard reached down a single track.

Choosing between the raised and flat floor

The two versions contain the same volume; they differ in where your stock stands relative to it. With the raised floor, the working deck sits above the containment tray, so a weeping drum drips into the void underneath and everything stored stays out of the liquid. With the flat floor, the Durbar plate is both the containment tray and the surface you stand drums on, so a leak is immediately visible on the deck in front of you — and can be mopped or pumped straight off — but stored items sit in it until it is cleared. Choose raised where seepage is expected as a matter of routine, flat where leaks would be occasional and you would rather see them at once and keep a level surface for a pallet truck.

Delivery, siting and cover

Delivery is free anywhere in the UK, and that includes Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey. The price shown is the total payable; no VAT is added at checkout. This unit is small and light enough that the pitch requirements are the least demanding in the bunded range, but it still needs firm, level ground — a bunded floor only works if the store sits level. The two forklift pockets at the front allow repositioning later without bringing a crane back; where a crane offload is needed at delivery, that is arranged and agreed in writing beforehand. Built as a new conversion, it carries 12 months on workmanship and 12 months on the one-trip shell against structural defects and water ingress. Your statutory rights are separate again: 14 days to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and 30 days to reject faulty goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
