Description

The container pool Classic Design is our straightforward, uniform-depth 40ft pool — the version most owners choose for swimming and family use. Built from a converted 40ft shipping container, it puts a full-length pool into a garden without the months of excavation, formwork and concrete that conventional pool building involves. The steel shell is the structure, so what happens on site is placing it and connecting it rather than building it.

The clean rectangular form sits naturally in a modern garden and reads as a deliberate contrast in a traditional one. The exterior can be painted or clad to any scheme, and a timber or composite deck along the top edge is a common addition for seating and sunbathing.

Uniform depth, and why most buyers pick it

One depth from end to end is simpler to swim in, simpler to supervise and simpler to cover. Children can stand anywhere in it, or nowhere in it, and you decide which at the build stage rather than discovering it afterwards. If you would rather have a shallow lounging area and a deeper section for exercise, the 40ft Container Pool with a deep end profiles the floor instead.

A 40ft pool is a haulage job before it is a swimming pool

This is the honest constraint on the largest shell in the range. Twelve metres of steel travels on an articulated lorry, which needs a road it can turn into and somewhere to stand while a crane lifts the shell over whatever sits between the road and the garden. Overhead cables, mature trees, narrow lanes and parked cars decide this, not the size of the garden itself. Planning, neighbours and siting

A pool this size is visible, and in the UK that makes planning a real question rather than a formality — particularly near boundaries, in conservation areas or at a listed property. Read the planning permission guide before committing. Safety is separate and entirely yours: fencing, a cover, depth markings and supervision, none of which we supply.

Ordering, delivery and cover

Delivery is free anywhere in the UK, including Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, and the price shown is the total payable — no VAT is added at checkout. Crane or HIAB offload is agreed in writing before delivery. Allow roughly 2 to 6 weeks for a specialist build. The fabrication workmanship is covered for 12 months. Your statutory rights run alongside that: 14 days to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and a separate 30-day right to reject faulty goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
