Description
The 20 Ft Container Pool – Standard Build is the compact end of our range: a repurposed 20-foot shipping container converted into a swimming pool, roughly 20 feet long, around 8 feet wide and 4 to 5 feet deep. It is the version to buy when space, not swim length, is the constraint – urban backyards, rooftops, courtyards and narrow side lots.
Standard Build inclusions and options
- Interior lining: smooth, waterproof finishes such as fiberglass or PVC
- Filtration: a compact system sized to the water volume, which keeps routine maintenance light
- Exterior: painted or clad to suit the surroundings
- Options: electric or solar heating, internal steps and benches, and wall insulation to reduce heat loss
Installation and mobility
A 20ft pool usually needs minimal foundation work and can be set above ground or partially embedded for a more integrated look. Its size is also its practical advantage: it can be lifted and relocated if you move or re-landscape, which a poured pool cannot.
Because it reuses an existing steel shell, it is generally cheaper to buy and less demanding to maintain than traditional construction – a corrosion-resistant structure rather than tile and grout.
Comparing the 20ft options
This listing is the Standard Build. For a higher level of finish and more equipment included from the start, see the 20 Ft Container Pool in Premium Build. If you want the same compact shell in a bolder color, we also build the pink 20ft container pool. Longer shells and other finishes are listed under container pools.
