30 Ft Container Pool – Standard Build

In Stock

£8,495.75

The entry specification in our 30ft container pool: a converted steel shell with the lining, filtration and fittings needed to swim, and nothing beyond them. Thirty feet gives a genuine swim length in a garden that will not take a 40ft shell, and it can sit above ground, part-sunk or fully in-ground.

Description

The Standard Build is the entry specification of our 30ft container pool: a shipping container shell converted into a swimming pool, fitted with the lining, filtration and fittings you need to swim and nothing beyond them. Thirty feet is the length most people arrive at once they measure the garden — long enough to push off and take proper strokes, short enough to leave lawn around it. Because the shell arrives converted, the groundworks are a fraction of what a poured concrete pool demands.

Shell dimensions

  • External length approximately 9.14 m (30 ft)
  • External width approximately 2.44 m (8 ft)
  • External height approximately 2.59 m (8 ft 6 in)
  • Water depth is set during the build rather than fixed off the shelf

Those are the outside dimensions of the steel shell. The swimming area inside is smaller once the lining is built up, and the finished internal profile is confirmed in writing when we quote.

What the container pool Standard Build covers

Shell, lining, filtration and the fittings required to fill and swim. Heating, insulation, internal steps and bench seating, and exterior cladding are the items that separate this from the 30ft Container Pool in Premium Build — they are available, but they are quoted rather than assumed. We write the exact inclusions into the quotation, so ask before you order rather than after.

Siting: above ground, part-sunk or in-ground

A steel shell can stand entirely above ground on a prepared bearing surface, be dropped partly into the ground so the rim sits at deck height, or be sunk fully so it reads like a conventional pool. Above ground is the quickest and needs the least excavation; part-sunk is the usual compromise where the garden slopes. Whichever you choose, the ground under it has to carry a filled pool, which is a serious load — we will want to know what the standing area is built on.

Planning permission is worth checking first

A pool in a domestic garden is a genuine planning question in the UK, and the answer depends on your site rather than on the product. Conservation areas, listed buildings, covenants and how close the pool sits to a boundary all matter. Our guide to planning permission for a container in the UK explains the principles, and the delivery areas pages set out how the local authorities in each region tend to approach it. Check before you order, not after the crane is booked.

Pool safety is yours to manage. Fencing, a cover, depth markings and supervision are the owner’s responsibility, and nothing we supply substitutes for them.

Delivery, craning and cover

Delivery anywhere in the UK is free, including Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey. The price you see is the total payable — no VAT is added at checkout. A 30ft shell is craned into position rather than rolled off, so crane or HIAB offload is agreed in writing before delivery, and we need to know gate widths, overhead cables and where a lorry and a crane can stand. As a converted unit it carries 12 months on the fabrication workmanship. Separately, you have 14 days to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and a 30-day right to reject the goods if they are faulty under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Related pools

If the garden is tighter, the 20ft Container Pool uses the same approach in a shorter shell. For a full swim length, the 40ft Container Pool steps up again. Every size and finish is listed under container pools, or request a quote with your address and site photographs.
