Description
A brand-new one-trip 40ft high cube container with a full side opening. The whole flank opens rather than being divided into separate doors, which is what you want when loading wide or oversized items with a forklift and cannot work around door posts. Double swing doors are retained at one end, so the load can be reached from either direction. Used only once for shipping from the manufacturer, it arrives in like-new condition.
Dimensions
- External: 12.19 × 2.44 × 2.90 m (40 ft 0 in × 8 ft 0 in × 9 ft 6 in)

- Side access: full-length opening along one 40ft flank
- End access: double swing doors at one 8ft end

One clear opening, or several doors?
Where wide pallets, panels or plant go in by forklift and door posts simply get in the way, an uninterrupted side opening is the answer — one approach, one placement, no repositioning. The trade-off is that opening the flank exposes the whole interior at once, so on a wet day or a windy site you are committing the entire load to the weather rather than just one bay. Where you would rather open one section at a time, a multi-door unit is the better buy. It is worth deciding which of those two problems you actually have before you order.
Where it fits
Warehousing that needs forklift access along the length. Pop-up shops and event builds where an open flank becomes the frontage. Equipment stores holding plant too wide to turn into an end door. On-site workspaces and logistics operations where speed of loading is the whole point of choosing this configuration over a standard box.
Delivery, siting and cover
Delivery is free throughout the UK, taking in Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, and no VAT is added at checkout — the price shown is the total payable. Two siting requirements matter more here than on a plain container: the ground must be level along the whole length, because a full-length opening has no midpoint support and will bind if the frame twists; and the opening flank needs to stay clear, since there is 12 m of door to swing. Allow a straight approach and firm ground for a tilt-bed. Crane or HIAB offload is agreed in writing before delivery. As one-trip stock it carries 12 months of cover against structural defects and water ingress, and separately you keep 14 days to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and 30 days to reject the goods if they are faulty.

Prefer to work a section at a time? Four operable leaves over the same length come from the 40ft HC open side container with 4 doors. The closest direct comparison is the post-free 40ft full side access high cube. Shorter again, there is the 20ft open side full side access container, whose used equivalent is the used 20ft full side access container. Anything with side access is gathered under open side containers.
