20ft Open Side Bunded Store — Open Mesh Floor
This combines two things that are usually specified separately: full side access, and spill containment. Double hinged doors run the length of one side as well as across the end, while the working floor is a galvanised open mesh deck suspended over a sealed sump.
The mesh is the point. Anything that leaks from a drum or an IBC drops straight through to the containment tray below rather than pooling around the base of the container it came from — and because the deck is open, a spill is visible from above during a routine walk-round instead of being discovered when something is moved.
Pairing that with side doors means a forklift can place and retrieve drums anywhere along the length without reaching over other stock, which is what makes the store workable day to day rather than just compliant. How the Bunded Mesh Floor Works
Drums and IBCs sit on a galvanised open mesh deck rather than directly on the container floor. Anything that leaks or drips passes through the mesh into the sealed sump beneath, so a spill is captured below the storage level instead of spreading across the floor where staff are walking and handling. Because the deck is open, the sump can be inspected without unloading the stock above it, and the mesh itself is rated to 7.5kN/m2 for loaded pallet work.
