20ft Open Mesh Floor Bunded Store
The mesh floor is what distinguishes this from our flat-floor store. A galvanised deck rated to 7.5 kN/m² runs the full length of the container, suspended above a sealed steel bund. Drums and IBCs stand on the mesh; anything that leaks passes straight through and collects in the sump below.
That separation matters more than it sounds. On a flat floor a leaking drum stands in its own spill, which attacks the container base and makes the leak hard to spot until something is moved. With mesh, the spill is below the working surface, visible from above on a routine walk-round, and the stored goods stay dry.
At 5.84 m internal this is the size most operations settle on once drum stock outgrows a 10 ft unit — the deck carries loaded pallets and IBCs, and the length allows incompatible goods to be separated at opposite ends. Built from a one-trip shell with 24 vents for through-ventilation.

Capacity and Layout
With 5.84m of internal length and a full-width galvanised mesh deck rated to 7.5kN/m2, this is the size most operations settle on once drum stock outgrows a 10ft unit. The deck carries loaded pallets and IBCs, and the length allows separation of incompatible goods at opposite ends of the container rather than storing them side by side. Everything stands over a sealed steel bund, so a leak drains away from the stored items and is contained below the working level.
Ventilation and Security on an Open Site
- 24 vents. Double the ventilation of the 10ft units, giving continuous passive airflow across the full length for goods that give off vapour.
- Factory-fitted lockbox and twin locking bars. Standard on every unit, so the store can be left secured on an unmanned compound.
- Forklift pockets. The unit can be repositioned as the site layout changes without needing a crane.
- Cor-Ten shell from a one-trip container. Sound panels and unworn door gear, not a patched used box.
Other Configurations
Where a forklift needs to reach every position on the deck directly, the 20ft open side bunded mesh floor store adds full-length side doors to the same specification.
