A 10ft observation unit built as a gatehouse from the outset rather than adapted into one. Four fixed windows give sightlines across several approaches at once, and a steel entrance door secures the cabin when the shift ends. It arrives insulated, lit and heated with a wipe-clean floor already down, so the only work left on site is running a supply to it. At 1,924 kg it stays light enough to be lifted and repositioned by forklift as a compound layout changes.

Why the glazing is the specification, not a luxury
Four windows in a 10ft footprint is a deliberate choice. Weighbridges, car park entries, security posts and site supervision points all depend on one person watching several approaches without leaving the desk, and glazing on multiple faces is the only way to get that coverage. The risk with any heavily glazed cabin is that it becomes a greenhouse in July and a cold box in January, which is exactly what the insulated envelope is there to prevent — 60 mm in the walls and floor, 100 mm overhead, so the 2 kW heater is working with the building rather than against it.
Where a glazed gatehouse cabin earns its place
The usual buyers are logistics yards wanting a manned entry point, contractors running a controlled compound, car parks and events needing a staffed kiosk, and farms or quarries putting a supervisor where the traffic is. The wipe-clean PVC floor matters more than it sounds: staff come in and out in site boots all day, and a mopped floor recovers where carpet or bare board does not.
Delivery, siting and cover
Delivery is free anywhere in the UK, including Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, and the price shown is the total payable — no VAT is added at checkout. Plan a firm, level standing that bears at each corner, or the door and window frames will not sit square. Because the unit has forklift pockets and weighs under two tonnes, many sites offload with their own machine; where a crane or HIAB is needed instead, that is agreed in writing before delivery. Workmanship on the conversion is covered for 12 months, and your statutory rights sit alongside it: 14 days to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and a separate 30-day right to reject the unit if it turns out to be faulty under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
