Battery operated smoke alarm for site cabins, welfare units and container offices. Because it runs on its own battery, it can be mounted in any unit on the compound without wiring it back to a mains supply — useful in cabins that are moved between sites or that only draw temporary power.

Buying Considerations

Work out how many units your compound needs — most operators fit one alarm per cabin as a minimum, with an extra in any unit that has a kettle, microwave or heater. Check the battery at handover and again on your regular site walk, and keep a spare on the shelf so a failed alarm can be swapped immediately rather than left out of service.
