Container Switch Rooms
A switch room is the electrical nerve center of a site, and what it houses is usually worth far more than the building around it. Sensitive control gear does not fail gracefully — a single overheated component can take a production line or a whole site offline, and the cost of that downtime dwarfs the cost of housing the equipment properly in the first place.
These are container-based switch and control rooms built to hold that equipment in a stable, temperature-controlled environment. Lining is 50 mm insulated sandwich panel, which is what makes the internal temperature controllable at all; heavy-duty air conditioning is specified on top of that where the heat load from the equipment itself is significant.
Available in 20 ft and 40 ft, and configured around your electrical schedule rather than a standard layout. Floor and wall RHS-framed penetrations and gland plates get the cabling in where you need it, Unistrut channel and ceiling cable trays carry it inside, and fire safety systems and emergency push-bar doors handle the life-safety side. Send us your gland plate and cable tray schedule and we will build to it.

Specifying Your Switch Room
The 50mm insulated sandwich panel lining used in these units is the same approach we take with our insulated container range, so if the equipment load is light and you only need a stable internal temperature, that can be a lower-cost starting point. Where the cooling duty is heavy, the 40ft insulated container with 5 ton Bard HVAC shows what a wall-mounted unit of that size looks like in practice. Switch rooms are often ordered alongside a container site office so operators and equipment share one compound. See the full specialized container range, or send us your gland plate and cable tray schedule for a build price.
