For container delivery the practical consequence is that every movement involves a sea crossing on a scheduled service, and the sailing rather than the road run sets the timetable.
Free delivery to Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey
Delivery is free to Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey on every container we sell, and the price you see is the price you pay — nothing is added at checkout. Offload by HIAB or crane is agreed in writing before delivery, so you know how the container is coming off the lorry before it leaves us.

Douglas is served principally from Heysham, while the Channel Islands are served from Portsmouth and Poole. Capacity on these routes is finite and freight space is booked in advance, so lead times are set by sailing schedules rather than by road haulage.

Island road networks are narrow and, in the Channel Islands, subject to strict vehicle size limits — a full 40ft artic is not always usable, and the offload method may need to differ from mainland practice. Please talk to us before ordering so the crossing and the final delivery can be arranged together. Customs paperwork for the Crown Dependencies is handled as part of the shipment.
A loaded 40ft container arrives on an articulated lorry. It needs firm, reasonably level ground, room for the vehicle to turn and space clear of overhead cables and branches for the offload. A 10ft or 20ft unit is considerably more forgiving. If you are unsure whether your site works, tell us about the approach and we will tell you honestly before you order.
