What DNV 2.7-1 certification actually covers
A standard ISO container is designed to be lifted vertically and set down on a stable surface. An offshore container is designed to be lifted in motion, from a deck that is moving, onto a deck that is moving differently. DNV 2.7-1 addresses that: it specifies the design and testing of the primary structure and the lifting set, requires reinforced pad eyes and corner castings, and mandates periodic re-inspection and re-certification of the slings.
Practically, this means an offshore unit cannot be substituted with a standard container at any price, and it means the paperwork matters as much as the steel. Sling certification and offshore documentation packages are available with the unit, and it is worth specifying them at order rather than chasing them later.

Delivery, handling and cover
Delivery anywhere in the UK is free — Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey included — and the price shown is the total payable, with no VAT added at checkout. Offshore units usually go to a port, a quayside laydown area or a fabrication yard rather than a domestic site, and those locations normally have their own lifting plant; where they do not, HIAB or crane offload can be arranged and is agreed in writing before delivery. Because certification and documentation are prepared per unit, treat this as specialist stock and allow 2 to 6 weeks.
As a new unit it carries our 12-month warranty against structural defects and water ingress. That is a commercial warranty and sits separately from the DNV certification regime, which has its own inspection intervals you will need to maintain. Consumer buyers also have 14 days to change their mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and a distinct 30-day right to reject faulty goods.
