A 45ft high cube dry container offering 37.4 m³ of cargo volume. Built for the loads that defeat a 40ft box on one dimension rather than on weight: 13,556 mm of internal length and 2,698 mm of internal height, in robust steel construction throughout. If you have ever had to cut a length of extrusion or split a racking run to make it fit a container, this is the size that removes the problem.

Dimensions and capacity

  • External: 13,716 × 2,438 × 2,896 mm (45 ft 0 in × 8 ft 0 in × 9 ft 6 in)
  • Internal: 13,556 × 2,352 × 2,698 mm (44 ft 5 in × 7 ft 9 in × 8 ft 10 in)
  • Capacity: 37.4 m³ (approximately 1,320 cu ft)
  • Profile: high cube — an extra 0.30 m of height over a standard container

Specification

  • Robust steel construction for durable, secure transport
  • High cube design for additional vertical storage space
  • Full-width double doors at one end
  • Corner castings for craning and twist-lock securing
  • Suited to both freight service and static storage

Where the capacity goes

  • Conversions calling for an unusually long run of clear internal floor
  • Long loads such as pipe, timber, extrusion and racking sections that a 40ft box will not take
  • Freight that is high in volume and low in density, where space runs out well before weight does
  • Bulk seasonal storage, where one unit beats splitting the same goods across two smaller ones

Before you order

A 45ft shell asks for a longer and straighter approach than a 40ft does. Give the delivery vehicle plenty of room to line up and reverse, and stand the container on a level pad so that the doors stay square — on a shell this long, a small settlement at one corner translates into a noticeable twist at the door end. It is also worth checking that a 45ft box is genuinely the right answer: if the extra length is not doing specific work for you, a 40ft high cube sites far more easily on a constrained yard.

Delivery, cover and your rights

Delivery is free anywhere in the UK, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey included, and no VAT is added at checkout — the price shown is the total payable. Crane or HIAB offload, where your site requires it, is agreed in writing before delivery. As new stock this container carries 12 months of cover against structural defects and water ingress. Separately from that, you keep 14 days to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and 30 days to reject the goods if they are faulty under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Access requirements and lead times are set out in our delivery and placement policy.
