Why supply is irregular at this length
Far fewer 45ft containers were built than 40ft, and those that exist stay in service longer because the operators who use them value the extra capacity. The result is that used 45ft stock appears in ones and twos rather than in lines, and specification varies more between units than it does at standard sizes.
In practice that means two things. First, if you find a 45ft unit that suits the job, it is worth moving on it rather than waiting for a better one. Second, do not assume the next one will match this one — height, floor type and door condition all vary, so check the detail of the specific unit rather than the listing generally.

Delivery, siting and cover
Delivery is free throughout the UK, taking in Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, and the price shown is the total payable with no VAT added at checkout. At 13.7 m this is the most access-sensitive unit we supply: you need a clear straight run of roughly 28 m, firm level standing along the entire footprint, and clear airspace over the drop point. Yards that manage a 40ft delivery often cannot take a 45ft, so measure honestly and send us the constraints. HIAB or crane offload is agreed in writing before delivery.
As used stock supplied wind and watertight, it is covered for three months from delivery: dry inside under normal weather conditions, with doors that open, close and lock. Cosmetic condition is excluded — surface rust and dents are characteristics of the grade. Your statutory rights are separate and additional: 14 days to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and a 30-day right to reject the goods if faulty.
