Lunchroom Containers

An insulated container fitted out as a break room, so a crew has somewhere to get out of the weather, sit down and eat properly. Available as a 20 ft or 40 ft unit and specified to order.

There is a compliance reason and a practical reason to have one. OSHA requires employers to provide adequate welfare facilities, and a dedicated eating area is part of that alongside sanitation and drinking water. The practical reason is simpler: a defined break space gives a clear signal about when breaks start and end, and a crew that has actually sat down and warmed up works better in the afternoon than one that ate standing in the rain.

Insulated panels come as standard — without them a steel box is unusable in both summer and winter. Beyond that the fit-out is yours to specify: fixed tables and benches, a kitchenette, electrical outlets and lighting, hot water, vinyl flooring, shelving, wall partitions, security windows, personnel doors, ventilation and air conditioning. Because the shell is a container, the finished room can be repositioned as the site develops rather than being fixed for the life of the project.

Build Out the Rest of Your Site Welfare

A lunch room rarely arrives on its own. Sites that cater on a larger scale usually pair it with one of our shipping container kitchens, while crews that need somewhere to store and change out of dirty PPE add a set of container change rooms. Supervisors working alongside the crew normally want a separate container site office so paperwork and break time stay apart. Every conversion we build is listed under modified containers, and you can request a quote setting out your headcount, preferred size and fit-out list.
