Description

Container change rooms, also called portable locker rooms, built for construction and mining sites that need somewhere for staff to change, with secure storage for their belongings. Built from 20ft or 40ft new-build general purpose containers depending on headcount, with a personnel door, a window with a security grill, a full electrical fit-out and lockers in a range of sizes. Because the unit is a container it relocates between sites and is ready for use on delivery.

Why a dedicated change room is worth the space

UK workplace welfare expectations include suitable facilities for changing and for storing personal effects where the work requires it, and a portable change room covers that without permanent building work or a lengthy approval process. There is a practical dividend too: keeping contaminated PPE and site boots out of the break room and the office is far easier when there is a defined place for them to go, and it is the single change that most reduces mess spreading across a compound.

Sizing it to the shift, not the headcount

The number that matters is not how many people are on site but how many change at once. A crew of forty on staggered starts needs far less locker frontage and floor space than twenty who all arrive at seven. Tell us the shift pattern along with the headcount and the locker count and bench layout can be set against the actual peak rather than a nominal total.

Delivery, siting and cover

Delivery is free UK-wide, including Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, and the price shown is the total payable with no VAT added at checkout. These are built to order, so allow the specialist lead-time band in our shipping policy. Site the unit on the walking route between the gate and the work face rather than tucked behind the compound, or it will not get used. Plan a firm, level standing bearing at all four corners; crane or HIAB offload is agreed in writing before delivery. Fabrication workmanship is covered for 12 months, and separately you have 14 days to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and a 30-day right to reject the goods if faulty under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Building the wider welfare package

Changing space that also needs showers and toilets is the natural pairing for our container ablution blocks, and for a small crew the 8ft x 5ft mains toilet and shower cabin may be enough on its own. On longer projects, crews normally add lunchroom containers as well, so that breaks happen under cover.
