A 32ft x 10ft jackleg office clad in plastisol — plastic-coated steel sheet laminated onto 9 mm plywood — so a long compound life means a wash-down rather than repainting. Inside: insulated walls, ceiling and floor, sealed vinyl, four double glazed windows, four sockets and two timed heaters.

Description

Plastisol is the standard cladding on this 32ft × 10ft jackleg office: plastic-coated steel sheet laminated onto 9 mm plywood. Specify it when the cabin will be living outdoors for years rather than a season, because weather and knocks do not put it onto the repainting cycle that a textured-and-painted skin eventually demands. Prefer the traditional textured and painted finish? It can be supplied on request.

Dimensions

  • External: 9.75 × 3.05 × 2.75 m (32 ft 0 in × 10 ft 0 in × 9 ft 0 in)
  • External width over the jacks: 3.25 m (10 ft 8 in) — use this figure for access, not 3.05 m
  • Internal: 9.6 × 2.9 × 2.3 m (31 ft 6 in × 9 ft 6 in × 7 ft 7 in)
  • Door opening: 0.8 m wide × 1.99 m high (2 ft 7 in × 6 ft 6 in)

Specification

  • Plastisol exterior — plastic-coated steel sheet laminated to 9 mm plywood
  • Traditional textured and painted finish to order, across a wide colour range
  • Fixed-point jacklegs, so the cabin levels itself on ground that has not been prepared
  • Walls, ceiling and floor all insulated
  • Wipe-clean plasterboard walls with a textured vinyl face
  • Sealed vinyl floor covering
  • 4 × uPVC double glazed windows
  • Fluorescent strip lighting, 3 fittings
  • 4 × double power points and a fitted consumer unit
  • 2 × electric timed panel heaters
  • Optional security pack: window mesh or steel shutters
  • Optional steel pedestrian door upgrade

What plastisol actually buys you

Plastisol is a thick plastic coating bonded to steel sheet, and the reason it is standard here is maintenance rather than looks. A painted cabin left on an exposed compound will want touching up within a couple of years, and repainting a cabin in situ is awkward, weather-dependent work that nobody budgets for. A plastisol skin takes a scuff from a passing telehandler and needs a wash-down, not a paint job. Over a five-year compound that difference is worth considerably more than the price gap.

Security on an unattended compound

The windows are the weak point on any site office out of hours, which is why the security pack is worth pricing at the same time as the cabin rather than after the first break-in. Mesh coverings or steel shutters can be fitted over the glazing, and the pedestrian door can be upgraded to steel. If the compound is unmanned overnight or sits on a public boundary, specify both up front — retrofitting is always more expensive.

Delivery, siting and cover

Delivery is free anywhere we deliver in the UK, including Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, and the price shown is the total payable with no VAT added at checkout. Note the access dimension: this cabin is 3.25 m over the jacks, wider than most of our 10 ft units, so check gateways and pinch points against that figure. The fixed-point jacklegs mean no slab and no groundworks — the cabin levels itself on firm standing under each leg, which is what makes a 32ft office deliverable to a compound that has not been formally prepared. Offload is by HIAB or crane, and that arrangement is settled in writing before the delivery date. Cover is 12 months against structural defects and water ingress, and separately you retain 14 days to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and 30 days to reject the goods if they are faulty.

Longer and shorter in the same format

Staying with jacklegs on a shorter footprint, the 24ft x 10ft jackleg site cabin is the nearest step down, with the 16ft x 10ft site office cabin below that; in the other direction sits the 48ft x 10ft jackleg office cabin. Everything we hold sits in the jackleg cabin range, and colour options and security pack pricing are quickest to settle if you contact our cabin team.
