10ft Cut-Down Used Container

The cheapest route to a 10 ft footprint. Rather than building a small container from scratch, we take an ex-shipping-line 40 ft shell and shorten it — typically yielding four 10 ft units from one donor — then fabricate new rear panels and corner posts and finish the unit properly.

Every one is prepared and resprayed inside and out before dispatch, so what arrives looks considerably better than the container it came from. The original double doors and a fitted lockbox carry over from the shipping end, and the unit is supplied wind and watertight.

We are not limited to 10 ft. The same process cuts to whatever length your site will take, so if the gap you are filling is an awkward size, tell us the dimension rather than working around a standard one.

Important: a cut-down container cannot be used for shipping — cutting the shell voids its CSC certification. If you need a short container that still carries a valid plate for freight, buy the 10 ft one-trip instead.

Choosing Between Cut Down and One Trip

A cut down unit is the most cost-effective route to a 10ft footprint because the shell starts life as an ex-shipping line 40ft container. If you want a factory-built small container instead, compare it with the 10ft x 8ft one trip container, which is CSC plated and can still be used for shipping. We also stock a second used 10ft cut down container when stock allows.
