Freestanding heavy duty container racking, supplied as a single bay of two tier or three tier racking and designed to be assembled inside the container itself. It stands on the container floor rather than hanging from the ceiling lashing rings, and it arrives with the chipboard shelves already included, so there is no timber to source and cut before the bay is usable. Choose the 2250 mm side bay for the long walls, or the shorter 1850 mm rear bay to put the end wall to work.
What a single bay contains
- Two pre-assembled end frames, 2 m high and 600 mm (24 in) wide
- Two beams per shelf, slotting into the end frames and secured with safety clips
- A 25 mm chipboard shelf per tier, each rated to 550 kg
- Shelf heights adjustable in 50 mm steps
- Powder-coated steelwork in blue and orange for a scratch-resistant finish
- Side bay 2250 mm wide; rear bay 1850 mm wide
Working out how many bays you need
One kit racks one side, so order two if you want both walls fitted out. A 10 ft container takes a single bay per side, a 20 ft takes two and a 40 ft takes five. The rear bay is a separate item: it works in a 20 ft or 40 ft container alongside two-tier side racking, but a 10 ft simply has not got the length left over once the sides are racked.
Delivery, price and your rights
The frames and beams travel as palletised steel with the chipboard shelves, and delivery is free anywhere in the UK, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey included. The price on this page is the total payable — no VAT is added at checkout. You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and a separate 30-day right to reject the goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if anything arrives faulty.
Other container shelving options
If keeping the floor entirely clear matters more, two kits hang from the ceiling D-rings instead: the Fastfit three tier racking (2 bays) and the Fastfit single bay kit. Both leave the shelf boards for you to supply. Add a container ramp if stock arrives on a pallet truck. The rest of the range is in container accessories, and the units this racking is built for are in storage containers.
