Fastfit Three Tier Racking (Single Bay)

£245.00

One bay of three-tier shelving hanging from the container ceiling D-rings, which is exactly what a 10ft container takes per side. Neither drilled nor welded, so it lifts back out as easily as it went in. Timber shelf boards are not supplied; order two kits to rack both walls.

Description

A single bay container racking kit giving three shelf tiers, hung from the D-rings that a container already carries in its ceiling. No drilling, no welding — the frame lifts back out as simply as it went in, which matters when the container is not yours to alter, or when you expect to move it on. One bay is precisely what fits along each side of a 10 ft container, which makes this the obvious kit for the shortest boxes.

Racking a 10 ft container

Rack both side walls and the space is used up. With two bays in, the end wall no longer has the run left to take a third, so two kits is the ceiling in a 10 ft box. Move up to 20 ft, 30 ft or 40 ft and the same kit becomes a way of adding capacity a bay at a time, rather than paying for a full-length run in one go.

Specification

  • Hooks onto the existing ceiling D-rings — no drilling or welding
  • A single bay of three shelf tiers, covering one side
  • Powder-coated steelwork
  • Fits 10 ft, 20 ft, 30 ft and 40 ft container sizes
  • Maximum bays per side: one in a 10 ft, two in a 20 ft, five in a 40 ft
  • Timber shelf boards are not supplied

Why hanging beats standing

Freestanding shelving eats floor space a narrow container cannot spare. Hanging the brackets from the D-rings leaves the deck below the bottom shelf completely open, so the space underneath takes ladders, tyres, long lengths and wheeled equipment, with smaller stock on the tiers above. The trade-off is that you supply the shelf boards yourself: timber that size is bulky enough to cost more to ship than to buy locally.

Delivery and your rights

Brackets only, so this is a small consignment and delivery is free anywhere in the UK, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey included. No VAT is added at checkout — the listed price is what you pay. The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give you 14 days to change your mind, and the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you a separate 30-day right to reject faulty goods.

Adding to the kit

Working in a 20 ft or 40 ft box rather than a 10 ft one? A single order of the two-bay Fastfit kit takes care of an entire side. Where you would sooner not cut timber yourself, the adjustable heavy duty racking arrives with chipboard shelves included. A magnetic PIR light keeps the shelves usable once the daylight goes. The container that pairs most naturally with a single bay is the 10 ft one-trip shipping container, and the rest of the fittings sit in container accessories.
