A compact containment store built new from a one-trip 10ft shell, its 3 mm Durbar checker plate deck welded straight into the shell so that the base is the containment tray. Nothing is lined separately, so there is no liner to split, lift or perish and no joint for liquid to track along. This is the flat-floor version of the 10ft store: drums stand directly on the plate, which makes it the one to choose where a level surface for a pallet truck matters more than keeping stock clear of a spill.

The case for a visible spill
A flat floor is often presented as the budget option against a mesh deck, which misses what it is actually good at. Because the surface holding the drums is the containment surface, any release appears in plain sight the moment somebody opens the doors. Nothing accumulates quietly in a sump underneath a loaded deck, waiting for a scheduled inspection that may be weeks away. For a store checked casually and often, rather than formally and rarely, that visibility is a genuine safety property.
The trade-off is real and worth stating plainly: a leaking drum stands in its own spill until the deck is cleared. Where seepage is expected as routine rather than exceptional, the raised or mesh-floor versions are the better specification.
Why the 10ft footprint
At just under 3 m long the store fits compound corners, yard set-downs and walkway ends where a 20ft unit will not turn in. It stays craneable, and with forklift pockets on both sides it can be repositioned as a site layout changes. Twelve vents give continuous passive airflow sized to the smaller internal volume, and the factory-fitted lockbox with twin locking bars keeps the contents secure on an unmanned site.

UK delivery is free, taking in Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, and the price on this page is the total payable with no VAT added at checkout. At 1,470 kg the store is delivered on a tilt-bed and needs firm, level ground with a straight approach — level matters more here than on a plain storage container, because a bund that sits out of level holds its volume unevenly. Where the pitch can only be reached by crane, that is agreed in writing before delivery. As a new build on a one-trip shell it carries 12 months on the fabrication workmanship and 12 months on the container against structural defects and water ingress, and separately you have 14 days to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and 30 days to reject faulty goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
