10ft Open Mesh Floor Bunded Store
The most thoroughly specified of our 10 ft containment stores: a 300 mm raised bund formed over a welded 3 mm Durbar plate floor, with a galvanised mesh deck rated to 7.5 kN/m² above it. Three layers, each doing a job — the plate seals, the bund holds volume, the mesh keeps stock clear of both.
Drums and IBCs stand on the mesh with nothing pooling around their bases. Leaks drop into the sealed sump below, where they can be inspected through the deck and pumped out without disturbing the stored goods. For a store that is worked regularly, or where the material is aggressive enough that standing in it would attack the drum, that separation is the whole point.
The 10 ft footprint suits a working stock, a decanting point or a satellite store kept near the point of use rather than centralised. Twelve vents give through-ventilation appropriate to the internal volume.

The 300mm Bund and Mesh Deck Explained
This unit combines two layers. Underneath is a welded 3mm Durbar plate floor with a 300mm raised bund around it, forming a sealed containment volume. Above it sits a removable galvanised mesh deck rated to 7.5kN/m2, which is where drums and small IBCs actually stand. Anything that leaks passes straight through the mesh and collects in the bund below, so stock never sits in its own spillage and the sump can be checked visually without moving the load.
Choosing It Over the Flat Floor Version
- Stored goods stay dry. Drum bases are held clear of any collected liquid, which matters for labelled steel drums and for anything you intend to move on again.
- Cleaner handling. Operators walk on a grip deck rather than through whatever has been released.
- Simple inspection. A glance through the mesh confirms whether the bund is clear — no unloading required.
- Same compact footprint. At 2.99m external length it still fits compound corners and yard set-downs where a 20ft unit will not.
The Cor-Ten shell, twin locking bars, factory-fitted lockbox and 12 vents are carried over from the one-trip container it is converted from, so security and passive ventilation match the larger units in the range.
