20Ft X 8Ft Open Mesh Floor Bunded Store

A 20ft containment store built around a full-length galvanised mesh deck, rated to 7.5 kN/m², hung above a sealed steel bund. Drums and IBCs sit on the mesh, and whatever escapes them drops through it to collect underneath the working surface. Internal length is 5.84 m, and that is usually where operations end up once their drum stock has outgrown a 10ft unit — less because the volume doubles than because there is finally enough run to keep incompatible goods at opposite ends instead of side by side.

Segregation is what the extra length buys

The obvious reason to move up from a 10ft store is capacity. The better reason is layout. Nearly six metres of deck lets you put physical distance between materials that should not share a spill path, keep a decanting position at the door end where the light and the airflow are, and still leave a walkway rather than shuffling drums to reach the back row. Because everything drains to a common sealed bund, that separation is about handling and access rather than isolating the containment itself — worth being clear about when you plan what goes where.

The 24 vents are double the count on the 10ft units, giving continuous passive airflow across the full length rather than airflow that dies in the middle of a long box.

On an open or unmanned site

Delivery and cover

Delivery is free everywhere in the UK, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey included, and no VAT is added at checkout — the price shown is what you pay. At 2,820 kg empty this is one of the heavier units in the range, so the pitch needs to be firm as well as level: a bunded store placed on ground that settles unevenly will not hold its volume as intended. Delivery is by tilt-bed with a straight approach behind the drop point; where the only route in is a crane lift, that is agreed in writing before delivery. The fabrication carries 12 months on workmanship and the one-trip shell 12 months against structural defects and water ingress. Separately from both, you have 14 days to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and 30 days to reject faulty goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
