20ft Used Flat Rack Container
A flat rack solves the problem a closed container creates: the doors. With no side walls and no roof, a 20ft flat rack gives you 5.63 m of open deck that can be loaded by crane from above or by forklift from either side — so machinery, pipe, steel sections, boats and vehicles that would never pass through a container door go straight on.
The deck is 28 mm marine plywood over a steel frame, with lashing rings set into the side rails, the floor and the corner posts so awkward loads can be tied down properly rather than improvised. Ends are available fixed or collapsible; collapsible units fold flat and stack when empty, which matters if you are holding racks between jobs and paying for yard space.
These are also bought for reasons that have nothing to do with shipping. A flat rack makes a ready-built bridge deck, working platform or equipment skid, and the ISO corner castings give you certified lifting points already engineered into the frame.

Options, Handling and Related Flat Racks
Units come with or without forklift pockets, so tell us how the rack will be handled on site and we will match a unit to it. Where the load runs longer than 20ft, the 40ft used flat rack doubles the deck length, and buyers who need an unmarked frame for intermodal work usually move up to the one-trip 20ft flat rack. Every length and grade is listed under flat rack containers. Grading terms such as cargo-worthy and wind and watertight are explained in our condition guide, and you can request a delivered price for your postcode at any time.
