Container Ablution Blocks

Ablution blocks built into shipping container shells, sized from a 10 ft unit with a single WC, urinal and basin up to a 40 ft block with toilets, urinals, showers, mirrors and changing space. The configuration most sites end up choosing is the 20 ft split down the middle with two separate entrance doors, giving male and female facilities in one delivery and one footprint.

Providing proper sanitation for a workforce is an OSHA obligation on construction sites, but the same units solve the same problem in places with no permanent plumbing at all — campgrounds, farms, festivals, sporting events and remote retreats. Because the shell is a container, the block is craned in, connected, and craned out again when the season or the project ends.

Where mains water and power are not available, we supply remote-area blocks designed to operate without either. That is usually the deciding question, so start there: tell us your headcount and what services already exist on site, and we will specify the fit-out around it.

Specifying an Ablution Block

Start with headcount and the services already on site. Where mains water and power are in place, a standard fit-out with WCs, urinals, basins and showers is straightforward. Where they are not, our remote-area ablution blocks are designed to run without either – which is what makes them workable on farms, remote beach and rainforest locations, festivals and early-stage construction compounds.

If a toilet-only unit is enough, the 5+1 steel toilet cabin and the compact 8ft x 5ft mains toilet and shower are simpler options; where changing space is the requirement, see our container change rooms. Browse the wider specialized container range or request a quote with your headcount and available site services and we will spec the fit-out.
