Container Solar Floodlight

A solar LED floodlight that charges through the day and switches on by motion sensor at night. Its real value is not brightness but independence: there is no supply cable, so there is nothing an intruder can disconnect, and no trenching or electrician needed to get light onto a compound that has no power.

The supplied powder-coated post clamps into any of the four top corner castings on the container, which puts the lamp at roof height and out of reach from ground level. Fitting takes minutes — clamp the post, bolt on the lamp, angle it where you want it and lock it off. The post can be over-painted to match the container if appearance matters.

Day to day, the PIR is the part people notice. Walking up to a container at night with both hands full and having the light come on by itself is the difference between finding the padlock and fumbling for it. The IP65 housing is rated for permanent outdoor mounting.

Security Without a Power Supply

The real advantage over a mains floodlight is that there is nothing to switch off. The post clamps into a corner casting at roof height and the lamp bolts on and angles as required, so an intruder cannot kill the light from the ground, and no trenching or electrician is needed to get illumination onto a remote compound. The IP65 plastic housing is rated for outdoor use, and the post can be over-painted to match your container.
