Twist Locks (Set of 4)

Description

A set of four heavy-duty steel ISO twist locks for joining standard shipping containers together. Each lock engages the corner castings of the containers above and below it, so a stacked pair acts as a single rigid unit instead of two boxes free to shift under load or in wind. They are used in road, rail and sea transport, and on static sites where containers are stacked to save yard space.

Why an unsecured stack is a problem

On a storage yard the risk is not the same as in transit, but it is real. An unsecured top container can move when it is being loaded, when plant is working alongside it, or in a strong crosswind — and there is nothing between it and the ground. Locking the interface removes that movement. Stack heights, ground conditions and any lifting operation are matters for whoever is planning the site; the twist locks secure the joint, they do not substitute for that assessment.

Delivery and your rights

A set of four is a small, heavy parcel and delivery is free anywhere in the UK, including Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey. The price shown is the total payable — no VAT is added at checkout. You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and separately 30 days to reject the goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if they are faulty.

Stacking and site hardware

Where containers are stacked to save yard space, the solar floodlight works on the same principle — its post clamps into a top corner casting and lights the stack without any wiring. The doors on each unit want our high security container padlocks, and a dry stick or two is worth adding where a stacked unit is used for long-term storage.
