These containers have been newly built and have only done one trip at sea as opposed to ALL the other grades which have been at sea for many years. If you are looking to buy quality, these containers will last for many decades and represent the best value and life expectancy available.
All the “bells and whistles”:

While these containers are newly built, they have carried cargo on a single voyage, which means there can be signs of use. Possibilities include (a small amount) of non transferable markings to the internal as well as external marks from handling equipment at the ports.
What to Expect From a New Build Unit
- Life expectancy: the steel has spent one voyage at sea rather than a decade or more, which is the main reason these units outlast standard used grades by a wide margin.
- Finish: a uniform grey exterior that takes signage, branding or a later respray cleanly.
- Floor: laminated flooring, which is harder wearing and easier to sweep out than a standard plywood deck.
- Ventilation: additional vents beyond the usual specification, helping to control condensation in long-term storage.
- Security: a fitted lock box shrouds the padlock, and the right-hand door carries a single locking bar.
